STRETCH GOALS & THE TV DOCUMENTARY
Dear Backers,
We know you want The Tomb Raider Suite documentary – “Tomb Raider Remastered” – to be released as much as we do! To complete the documentary we need a camera crew to film the remaining half-a-dozen interviews. We also need to finalise the editing, add the grading, produce the sound mix and complete all the legal clearances. To date, it’s self-funded and stands at 50 minutes. But to complete this film and really make it the documentary we all want to see, we need to continue funding the production.
Here are a few images from the film:
How "The T-Rex" was written
Discussing the recording at Abbey Road Studios
Jasdeep Singh Degun playing Sitar
Because of minimum orders with the manufacturers and our wish to try and supply you with four choices of album cover, we had to order far more copies of the albums on vinyl and CD than we actually needed to fulfil the pledge rewards.
Having now completed on those, we are able to count what surplus albums we actually have. Initially, this seemed an unfortunate and terrible waste, but as events unfold we are starting to see how these additional albums may actually help propel us toward completing the documentary and our other remaining stretch goals.
We’re hoping that the ‘problem’ of the extra copies may actually be the solution.
So, we are proposing that we make these remaining copies of the album available for sale. Initially to the Kickstarter backers only, and then once you’ve had a chance to grab any copies you might want, we will open up the sale on our website.
A note on exclusivity: Some of you may be thinking what about the exclusivity of these albums rewarded via the Kickstarter Campaign. Let me say that we are not printing any more CLASSIC LARA and MODERN LARA (white cover) albums. Once they are gone, they are gone. The same can also be said about the GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION albums. No further copies will be pressed after these have been sold. No album sold on the website will be signed.
I hope you understand the practical reasons why we are considering offering up these albums for sale and that you will welcome the opportunity to grab a few more goodies for your collections.
To conclude, therefore, we are proposing selling the following: (initially just to the Kickstarter Backers):
JEWEL CASE CDs
Jewel Case CDs - MODERN LARA and GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION
· MODERN LARA Jewel Case CD (85 available) - £15 (plus p&p)
· GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION Jewel Case CD (95 available) - £40 (includes p&p)
VINYL ALBUMS
Vinyl Albums - CLASSIC LARA, MODERN LARA and GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION
· CLASSIC LARA Vinyl Album (40 available) - £45 (plus p&p)
· MODERN LARA Vinyl Album (80 available) - £45 (plus p&p)
· GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION Vinyl Album (95 available) - £100 (includes p&p)
DELUXE TIN CDs
Deluxe Tin CDs - CLASSIC LARA, MODERN LARA and GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION
· CLASSIC LARA Deluxe Tin CD (15 available) - £30 (plus p&p)
· MODERN LARA Deluxe Tin CD (15 available) - £30 (plus p&p)
· GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION Deluxe Tin CD (110 available) - £70 (includes p&p)
Please let us know your thoughts. We are really excited to have the opportunity to finally finish the film. What we’ve got so far is great, but with your help we can achieve excellence - a top quality product we can all be proud of.
If indeed you would like to make a purchase, please send me a direct email via Kickstarter. To remind, this can be done by clicking on my name on the TRS Kickstarter Project Page and then clicking the blue ‘CONTACT ME’ button.
Thank you all once again for your support and understanding and I hope to see some of you at our next concert in Paris towards the end of this year.
Kindest regards
Nathan.

100th UPDATARY
Dear Backers,
DELUXE TIN CDs
It seems appropriate (but also coincidental) that in this, our 100th Kickstarter update, I can tell you that we have now posted all of the Deluxe Tin CDs which marks a significant milestone for the project as a whole. It means that all physical rewards of the Kickstarter Campaign have now been delivered to you, our backers and supporters of such a momentous and historical project. Not only that, but we have also delivered all Deluxe Tin CD pre-orders made through our website.
The completion of this project has secured The Tomb Raider Suite and the Tomb Raider Theme a place in the classical repertoire for generations to come. A remarkable achievement that marks a significant turning point for the recognition of computer games music and has surely changed the future landscape by setting the highest bar for game soundtracks.
With your support we raised a staggering £194,120 - an amount unsurpassed by any other single computer game soundtrack on Kickstarter by a long, long way. With this money we were able to record The Tomb Raider Suite at the best studio in the United Kingdom with the best engineers and equipment that money can buy. With 83 musicians and a 40-voice choir, Abbey Road believes we set the record by having the highest number of musicians recorded live in the history of the studio. Not only did we record the album there but we were also afforded the luxury to have it mixed and mastered there – something which has only happened to 3 other albums at that studio in the last 30 years!
It is entirely thanks to your invaluable support that this has been possible.
To be able to say that The Tomb Raider Suite was recorded, mixed and mastered at Abbey Road Studios in England is something to be extremely proud of and something which is not likely to happen again for a very long time.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart – together we have made gaming history.
And so, here are the details of this very special 100th Kickstarter Update.
Since our last update we have been busy packing and posting Deluxe Tin CDs with more shipments going out across the globe. We’ve had reports back from Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Italy and Germany that parcels have been received, so it looks like our strategy to avoid the Christmas backlog is working.
Shipments we have made this week are as follows:
SHIPMENT 4
Posted 4th January 2020
· Germany
· France
Delivery date: 9th January 2020
· Canada
· Australia
Anticipated delivery date: 27th January 2020
SHIPMENT 5

· Ireland
Anticipated delivery date: 13th January 2020

· United States
Anticipated delivery date: 29th January 2020
SHIPMENT 7
Posted 11th January 2020
· United Kingdom
Anticipated delivery date: 17th January 2020
For now, I would like to say thank you once again for your tremendous support and patience. We have encountered many difficulties along the way and although we have completed later than we originally estimated, we are very proud to have now fulfilled your pledges and we hope and trust you are as pleased as we are with the finished albums and merchandise.
I am personally extremely pleased with what we have achieved, not just with the Kickstarter campaign itself but also outside the campaign. Here are some of the most notable moments since we started the project.
· August 2016 – The Tomb Raider Suite was written
· November 2016 – The Tomb Raider Suite score was produced (arranged by Adam Langston)
· December 2016 – The World Premier of The Tomb Raider Suite was performed by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra and the City of London choir and was conducted by Robert Ziegler at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, London
· May 2017 – The Kickstarter campaign was launched
· June 2017 – The Kickstarter campaign was successfully funded raising £194,120 (121% of the funding goal)
· October 2017 – The Tomb Raider Suite was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. Performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Metro Voices Choir. Conducted again by Robert Ziegler and recorded by Sam Okell.
· January 2018 – The Tomb Raider Suite website was launched including an e-commerce shop
· January/February 2018 – The Tomb Raider Suite was mixed by Paul Pritchard at Abbey Road Studios in London
· February 2018 – The Tomb Raider Suite was mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studios in London
· April 2018 – The Tomb Raider Medley was performed by the Video Games Orchestra at PAX East, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.
· April 2018 – The Tomb Raider Suite Composer Buffet Reception Album Launch Party was held at Hatfield House in England. A selection of special octet arrangements were performed by String Infusion
· September 2018 – The Tomb Raider Suite gets its second major performance at the Royal Festival Hall, South Bank, London. Performed by the Senbla Concert Orchestra and the English Chamber Choir and conducted by Elliot Davis
· October 2018 – The Tomb Raider Theme from The Tomb Raider Suite is played on national radio by John Suchet on Classic FM
· October 2018 – 2 days later The Tomb Raider Suite is released on all major Digital Download and Streaming services
· January 2019 – The first trailer for our Tomb Raider Remastered TV Documentary is released
· February 2019 – The Tomb Raider Suite was released on CD
· June 2019 – The Tomb Raider Suite is released in hi-quality .mp3 and .flac formats
· August 2019 – First full-length assembly of the Tomb Raider Remastered TV Documentary is completed
· August 2019 – The Tomb Raider Suite is released on vinyl record as a Double Vinyl Album
· December 2019 – The Tomb Raider Suite is confirmed for its next major live performance at Le Grand Rex in Paris. The date is set for Saturday 24th October 2020, right in the middle of Paris Games Week
· January 2020 – The Tomb Raider Suite Deluxe Tin CD is released
And that, ladies and gentlemen, brings us up to where we are today.
While the campaign did raise an additional £34,120 above our funding goal, (nearly half of this went on credit card and Kickstarter fees) it’s worth noting that there was never really enough to complete all of our stretch goals. In fact, we were so determined to produce the highest quality recording possible, we decided to spend practically all of the additional funding on the Abbey Road recording itself. We desperately needed a fifth recording session, for example, which was not in our original budget. We increased the size of the orchestra from 67 to 83 musicians and the choir from 16 to 40 musicians and we also afforded ourselves the luxury of having the album mixed and mastered at Abbey Road. These things pretty much ate up any stretch goal money we had.
Having said that, we were always committed to completing as many of our stretch goals as possible, one of these being the Tomb Raider Remastered TV documentary.
To make a documentary at the quality required for broadcast television is not cheap, and when we first decided to do this, we calculated it would cost approximately £160,000. It was clear right from the start that we did not have enough money from the campaign to complete this. But that didn’t stop us. Our company motto “Never give up”, which the vinyl owners of you may have noticed is inscribed on the playout area of every disc, drove us forward to finding a way to make a £160,000 TV documentary with no money. We currently have our first full-length assembly ready.
The Kickstarter campaign was exactly that. A funding campaign to “kickstart” our business into action. To think of it in any other way is wrong. Our business is now alive and kicking – thanks to you – and we hope you appreciate the quality of our products which we have delivered and which we feel the Tomb Raider brand deserves.
Our main focus moving forward from here will be to complete the Tomb Raider Remastered TV documentary, delivering the remaining website pre-orders and holding the San Francisco Composer Buffet Reception.
For the TV documentary, we have a few interviews still left to film and then we start the process of completing post production: finalising the edit to picture lock, obtaining clearances for every single shot in the film, grading and mixing the sound.
Regarding the San Francisco Composer Buffet Reception which we remain committed to putting on, we have a plan for this now and we will be disclosing full details in a subsequent update soon.
Apart from these, we still plan to release the original Tomb Raider 1, 2 and 3 soundtracks and the synthesizer mixes of The Tomb Raider Suite as soon as possible whilst all the time finding as many opportunities as we can to put on more live concerts.
So we are far from finished…!
Kindest regards as always
Nathan.

Dear Backers,
DELUXE TIN CDs

It is with great pleasure that I can finally say, the Deluxe Tin CDs are now on the move. We made our first shipment of 73 parcels on 27th December 2019. Not a huge number but this was mainly to test the system, and to minimise any losses still being close to Christmas.

· Estonia
· Finland
· Greece
· Hungary

· Malta
· Poland
· Portugal
· Romania

ANTICIPATED DELIVERY DATE: 13th to 20th January 2020

SHIPMENT 3
Since the 30th December I have been labelling the parcels for Shipment 3 and these were sent out today to the following countries:

I will make another update as these go out so those of you in these remaining countries know when to expect your parcels.

EXECUTIVE DECISIONS
Dear Backers,
DELUXE TIN CDs
While I tried my hardest to make this happen before Christmas, it seems that the God of Good Fortune is out to lunch on this one.
Because of the Christmas rush, a manager from the Czech postal service has strongly advised me not to risk sending the tins at this time. He very kindly came to my house and went through the options in great detail till 10.00pm last night. In short, the options we have are as follows:
·Send packages recorded delivery and post tomorrow (£3,000 additional cost, no losses).
·Send packages un-recorded delivery and post tomorrow (possible 50% losses).
·Send packages un-recorded delivery and post on 27th December (no additional cost, possible 5% losses).
We cannot risk losses when it took, as you know, over three months to get the tins from China and an additional six weeks to complete them with the CDs and the booklet. And sadly the additional £3k cost to send recorded delivery is unfortunately prohibitive.
So it is with considerable disappointment that I have to tell you our decision is to wait until the 27th December before we start shipping the Deluxe Tin CDs to ensure you receive them okay.
We are going to send an initial batch to various countries to test and try and ensure safe delivery and once that's confirmed, post the remainder.
I do understand that this news will be disappointing for some of you who were hoping for a Christmas treat and again I'm very sorry you have to wait longer, but they are all packed and ready to go so it won't be too long now.

LIVE CONCERTS
The date for the Paris concert has been moved... to an earlier date, which is good. One week earlier to be precise. We have therefore had to revise the artwork (show posters, flyers, online ads, tickets, ticket master ads etc.) and the promotion video. All is done now except the video which we are working on and which should be completed today. We should be ready to go live this week.
INTERVIEWS
Coming up, on Wednesday 18th I will be chatting with the chaps from the Retro Hour podcast. So I'm very much looking forward to talking about the project and where we are heading with it.
I will let you know when it goes live so you can tune in.

JINGLE BELLS, JINGLE BELLS...
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells
Deluxe Tins on their way!
Oh what fun it is to hear
Tomb Raider Suite today, OH!...
[Sorry, I couldn't resist it!]
Dear Backers,
DELUXE TIN CDs
And so finally, we are on our way. At the very last fence we encountered more problems than you could make up, but it does make a great story. Definitely one for the grandkids!
So are you all sitting comfortably? Then I'll begin...
It was a cold and stormy night, and the wind was blowing a gale, and I had just finished signing the last of the 931 Deluxe Tin CDs. The next job was to choose the packaging. I found what looked like a sturdy CD envelope on the internet and ordered a test bundle of 25. A few days later they arrived and I packaged one of the CDs and sent it off to our UK office to test how it would stand up to the journey across Europe. Unfortunately it got stuck at Heathrow airport for 8 days. By the time it arrived with David at our UK office, it was completely broken. One whole corner had been torn away and the entire tin casing had been bent beyond repair. So it was back to the drawing board.
My next choice proved to be much better. A C-DVD Bukwrap, which felt really strong when wrapped around the Tin. I sent 2 tests this time, again through to our UK office, one with bubble wrap and one without. Both arrive within 5 days, and in perfect condition. So we had our solution.
Next was to confirm with the Czech Postal Service about package size and cost for posting locally, to Europe and the Rest of the World. I also needed to register our company with the postal service in order for them to receive our large consignment of over 1300 packages (Retail albums included). The only person available to set this up for us was ill and would not be back at work for another 7 days! So we waited.
In the meantime, I purchased a thermal label printer (Inkjet is no good for labels as the ink will run if the labels get wet), and started looking around for a printing company to print off the 1300 colour thank you letters. I was rather shocked to discover our first quote, which came in at £510! After discussing various paper options and a slower deliver option of 7 days, I managed to get a quote for only twice the price of a laser printer! It was a no-brainer – I bought a laser printer!
Eventually the Czech Post Office came back to me and confirmed that my package choice suited their size limitations for my desired tariff, so we now had the cost of posting 1300 packages within our budget. I jumped back to the internet to order a pallet load of C-DVD Buwraps only to discover that the supplier had run out of stock and would not have more stock until January!
Searching through their site some more, I found another option, I checked the dimensions against our limitations from the post office and all was good. I rushed to the checkout to order a pallet load but they only had 300 left in stock – no more until January! Aaargh! Back to searching, I found a third option, dimensions were good, and at the checkout, my prayers were answered, a pallet load was available. So I pressed the button on a thousand packages (having already placed the order on the previous 300). So packaging was finally sorted!
The person from the Czech Postal Service finally returned to work and we set up a meeting to discuss the whole process of printing 1300 labels and packing and delivering the parcels to the post office. Forms had to be filled in and all the boxes ticked – it's not so simple being a UK registered company, trying to enter into a business contract with a Czech company. All sorts of extra checks have to be done for a ‘foreign' company. So off the man went with all the information he needed, and we waited some more.
A few days later, he came back again to train me up on their labelling software and was supposed to be bringing me the business contract to sign, but on that very day, their contract generating software broke and so we had no contract number to add to our labels (which is a requirement to send this kind of large consignment through the Czech Postal Service). So we made use of our meeting by training me up on the software and making sure my Thermal Printer was behaving itself properly. He was at my house until 10:00 pm when we finally had everything ready. He bid me farewell and left, walking into the snowy night, promising the contract number would be delivered to me the next day – and that's today!
By now, my Laser Printer had arrived, so I set about getting everything connected up to my WiFi and installing the software to get it up and running. This should have been simple enough, but no, the installation disc failed to be recognised by my laptop, absolutely nothing. So back to the internet I went on a hunt for the printer drivers. To cut a very long and frustrating story a bit shorter. I gave up at 01:00 am this morning having failed to get even the test page printed.
This morning, I awoke with renewed energy and got straight onto the phone to the printer manufacturer's support line. Turns out, I had been using a set of drivers (recommended by their website) which were not as stable as another set which the support line recommended. After an hour or two installing, uninstalling, re-installing, fiddling with IP addresses, Printer Ports etc .etc. I finally got my first test page printed at 10:00 am this morning. I printed out the first thank you letter and it was perfect. We could now start packing!
I printed out the first 100 letters, got my previously signed CDs, grabbed a hundred Bukwraps and sent my stopwatch going. The first box containing 16 CDs I managed to have all packaged up in 15 minutes. A quick calculation told me I had 20 hours ahead of me to get 1300 packages ready.
So off to work I went.
The Deluxe Tin CD Packaging Production Line
I took a break just now to write this Christmas story and was interrupted by a phone call from Mr Postman! He had my contract number and will be emailing it to me in the next 15 minutes. So now I have everything I need to finally send you your Deluxe Tin CDs – and hopefully if we get them all packed this weekend – you will be receiving them just in time for Christmas...
...and they all lived happily ever after!

DELUXE NEWS YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR
Dear Backers,
DELUXE TIN CDs
It is with great pleasure I can finally tell you that the Deluxe Tin CDs of The Tomb Raider Suite arrived on my doorstep yesterday morning. The delivery was 3 weeks later than we had been promised but nonetheless they all arrived in good condition – and I must say they do look great!
The Tomb Raider Suite - Deluxe Tin CD Delivery
So now I have the delicate task of signing 928 copies. It's a bit fiddly removing each one from its grease proof paper and plastic wrapping and repacking again after signing, so it's not as quick as doing posters for example, but hopefully I can make good progress and get them all done within a week.
Deluxe Tin CD - Autograph Signing
Autograph Signing - Close Up
Once that's done we will be able to start shipping them out to those of you who pledged for one.
We have had many hoops to jump through and I appreciate it has been a long wait, so I would like to thank you all for your patience and also the members of my team who have persevered for perfection.
There have been several times during the development of the Deluxe Tin CDs when we were about to press the button on the mass production but at the very last moment one of us spotted the tiniest of errors, sometimes setting us back another month to fix. At those times it would have been very easy to just say “to heck with it” and ignore the error, but our commitment to delivering the best quality product we could for you prevailed and I'm extremely happy and impressed with my team for the difficult decisions we have made along the way. Thank you David, Luke, Emily and Fiz for sticking at it, you guys rock!
---------- GENERAL INFORMATION ----------
JEWEL CASE CDs
We have just 19 out of 1186 orders left unfulfilled. So we are chasing these people for address updates or because they haven't told us which album design they want for their album. If you were expecting a Jewel Case CD as part of your reward but have not yet received one, you can either drop me a direct message through Kickstarter or simply wait for me to contact you, which I will do.
VINYL
From the 707 orders for Vinyl Albums we have just 23 remaining unfulfilled; 10 of those are because we haven't got their shipping address and another 10 because they haven't told us which album design cover they would like. So again, if you were expecting a Vinyl Album as part of your reward and you haven't received one yet, do get in touch via a direct message on Kickstarter or wait for me to contact you.
PAPER ITEMS
Out the 638 orders, we now have just 11 left to complete. Just four of these are missing a shipping address so we are chasing those down. Once again, if you are still waiting for paper items, we are on the case, but do drop me a direct message if you would like an update or if you have information for me.
LIVE CONCERTS
We have some fantastic news coming very soon about this. We have been negotiating the contracts for another show, this time in France. We are expecting to sign the contracts any day now and as soon as that is done, I will share the details about the date and venue for another Tomb Raider: Live In Concert show. The shows in Melbourne and Sydney are still in the bubbling pot and as soon as we have a secured date for these 2 shows I will let you know. We have had more interest from Dubai, so we're trying to close the deal on that too. We now have 2 agents working on shows in America so I'm quietly optimistic that we can get some shows secured out there in the not too distant future. We are also continuing our work on 2 more shows in the UK and we hope to have some more concrete news on those in the coming weeks.
COMPOSER BUFFET RECEPTION - SAN FRANCISCO
I haven't said much about this in recent updates, largely because there isn't much to say, other than we certainly haven't forgotten about it, nor is it cancelled. We are still fully committed to holding this event. It's really just a case of having to deal with one thing at a time. So, once we have the Deluxe Tin CDs shipped out, we will be able to focus our attention to putting on this event, and making it a night to remember. So get your glam rags dusted off, the party time is coming!
ADDRESS UPDATES
Finally, I would like to remind you that, as it has been some time since the campaign began, some of you may have moved house. So if this applies to you and you haven't yet updated your shipping address details, please do so at your earliest convenience. You have about 1 week before we start shipping the Deluxe Tin CDs and it would be a shame to have waited this long, only to be delayed further because your CD was sent to an old address. You can change your address via the survey we sent you at the beginning of the campaign, or failing that, you can send me a direct message on Kickstarter and I will update your details for you.

DELUXE TIN CDs
We have had an email from our supplier today saying...
The tins are arriving today! I'll send you out some samples tonight. Please note these will be without the CDs and booklets etc, it will just be the tins. I'm just finding out when the finished product will be delivered, I'll let you know on that.
So what happens next is that the booklets and CDs are packed into each tin, and then the Tins which need signing (928 of them) are packed into plastic envelopes and the rest are shrink-wrapped. The entire batch is then sent to me in the Czech Republic for signing and posting. So we are getting very close now people.
VINYLS
Of the 844 Vinyl album orders we had, there are just 21 left unfulfilled. If you are expecting a Vinyl album but have still not received it, please send me a message on Kickstarter as there is probably some information we need to know from you which is blocking us from sending it to you. I will of course contact you all individually anyway, but if you can pre-empt this by messaging me first that will save time.
PAPER ITEMS
From the 638 Paper package orders we had, there are just 19 left unresolved. 10 of these are waiting for Signed Blue A3 Souvenir Posters – we ran out of signed copies and our remaining stock of unsigned posters is in the UK with me in the Czech Republic. I had hoped to get to our London Office months ago to sign another batch but it just hasn't been possible. So I'm going to get another batch of posters printed up over here in the Czech Republic, sign them and get them posted out separately to the backers who are still waiting for them.
To those of you who are expecting other paper items but have still not received them, again this is probably because we need some information from you, either your choice of souvenir poster (RED or BLUE) or we simply need your shipping address. So if this applies to you, send me a message on Kickstarter or simply wait for me to get in touch with you directly – which I will do.
Thank you again for your continued support and patience.
Kindest regards
Nathan.

---------- GENERAL INFORMATION ----------
DELUXE TIN CDs
We have been in touch with our supplier recently who informed us that the tins will be arriving at their depot at the end of the month and that they will be packed in the UK and then sent out. We have been discussing various packaging options for the 929 which need signing.
VINYLS
Of the 844 Vinyl albums which we have sent out now, there are literally just a handful of albums that have not made it to their recipients yet. As before this is mostly due to us having an old address, or simply because they've gone missing in the post. Some of the albums for the farthest destinations may well still be in transit so I would give it another 14 days from now before raising the alarm. If after this time you are expecting a Vinyl album but have still not received it, send me a message on Kickstarter and I will do my best to resolve it for you as quickly as possible.
PAPER ITEMS
We still have a few unresolved rewards to send out. If you are still waiting for Paper Items, please remain patient. We do have a comprehensive list of every item that is still to be sent and we will get to each and every one of you in due course.
I do hope many more of you are now enjoying the album.
Thank you all once again for your continued support and patience.
Kindest regards
Nathan.

VINYL HAS LEFT THE BUILDING!
Dear Backers,
VINYL ALBUMS
It is with great pleasure that I can finally say, your vinyl has left the building!
Labelled up and ready to go!
Vinyls... everywhere!
Waiting for the postman.
Our team of helpers worked tirelessly over the last 3 days packing and labelling your vinyl records which were posted out yesterday. Some of you in the UK will have received your Vinyl Album this morning. The majority of UK backers will receive their copy on Monday morning.
The rest of Europe will follow during the course of next week, with backers in countries further afield receiving them within 20 days from now.
T-SHIRTS
I am also very happy to tell you that the remaining batch of Kickstarter T-Shirts has also been posted. Some have already been delivered; the rest should arrive within the next few days.
We are still working with our t-shirt supplier to create a more efficient ordering system, so that any future t-shirt orders will be shipped within a few days. This is a high-priority for us now, so again, I will let you know when this has been fully implemented.
POSTERS, SCORE PAGE & PROGRAMMES
We are still picking off the remaining unfulfilled pledges, so if you are one of those backers who has still yet to receive your paper items, rest assured we will be in touch with you shortly.
DIGITAL DOWNLOAD
I am happy to say that the high-quality digital download roll-out went much smoother than our first release, with no technical problems from our end this time round.
DOCUMENTARY
We are continuing our transcript review process.
LIVE CONCERTS
One of our backers made a very good suggestion to detail all our past concerts on the website as a historical record of where we have performed – I think this is a good suggestion so thank you for that; I will be adding those events to the table at the bottom of the TOMB RAIDER LIVE page soon.
DELUXE TIN CDs
These are still in manufacturing. We have been told to expect delivery in September, and we have had no further updates since we received that information. Again I will keep you informed as soon as we have more details.
That's about it for now.
Thank you all once again for your continued patience and support.
Kindest regards
Nathan.

VINYLS IN DA HOUSE
Dear Backers,
It's been a couple of months since my last update and quite a few (good) things have happened which I'm very pleased about. So here is the latest news on the project:
VINYL ALBUMS
It is with great pleasure that I can tell you your Vinyls have finally arrived!
Tomb Raider Suite Vinyl Albums - Front Cover
Tomb Raider Suite Vinyl Albums - Back Cover
The process has been fraught with problems, but we've finally got there. To cut a long story slightly shorter, the pressing plant found a couple of errors with the Master Lacquers which I was told is quite normal, so we had Geoff Pesche iron those out at Abbey Road before eventually receiving the test pressings on 26th June, which was just 10 days later than anticipated.
Tomb Raider Suite - Vinyl Test Pressings
We had them sent to Abbey Road to be checked by Geoff and got the green light to go ahead with mass production the same day. Unfortunately, just as we had pressed the “GO” button on mass production, the pressing plant had a printing problem which delayed our run for another 2 weeks. So with nearly 4 weeks down, the pressing plant pulled out all the stops and promised us delivery in 4 to 6 weeks instead of 6 to 8 weeks regaining 2 weeks back on our original schedule.
In the end, instead of a late July delivery, we were promised the 2nd week in August, and indeed they arrived on 3 pallets on Wednesday 14th August 2019.
A total of 1417 albums – it really is quite something to look at!
Tomb Raider Suite Vinyls - In Da House
So next on my task list is to sign the CLASSIC LARA and MODERN LARA albums as promised. We then have to transport these to England to our main office for posting out to you guys. The signing will most likely be completed next week and then transporting to England will happen the week beginning 26thAugust. So we should be in a position to start shipping out somewhere around Wednesday 28th August – 3 weeks later than we had hoped, but not too bad all things considered.
DELUXE TIN CDs
The Deluxe Tin CDs are still being manufactured and we have been told to expect delivery in September. As far as I know, everything is still on schedule, but that's as accurate as I can be at this moment in time. Of course I will keep you informed as and when I receive new information.
JEWEL CASE CDs
Out of the 1159 orders, there are just 26 Jewel Case CD orders left unfulfilled. This is mostly due to us not having your shipping address. So please if you pledged for a JEWEL CASE CD and you have not yet received it, please check that you have filled out our survey with your shipping address or send it to me directly on Kickstarter via the email system and I will update your account for you and get it shipped out to you.
If you can't be bothered to do any of that, don't worry, I will be in contact with you all individually soon to nudge you for the information.
Despite what some people have said recently, we are fulfilling orders on the website and people are receiving their Retail Albums approximately 2 weeks after placing their order. So if any of you want to purchase a copy of the retail album, either for yourself or for a friend, then please go ahead, we are up and running.
T-SHIRTS
I am also very happy to tell you that we have now secured a great new supplier for our T-Shirts. They have kindly printed the remaining shirts which we were short of for the Kickstarter Campaign and they have now been delivered to our London office. I have been busy preparing the labels for these and we will be posting these out to the small number of you who did not receive a T-Shirt first time around, and to the few who's T-Shirts were either lost or stolen in transit last time.
We have also had the orders from the website printed, so these will also be sent out next week.
Moving forward, we are currently working with our t-shirt supplier to create a more efficient ordering system, so that any future t-shirt orders will be shipped within a few days. I will let you know when this has been fully implemented.
POSTERS, SCORE PAGE & PROGRAMMES
Of the 637 orders we had for paper items, we have just 29 left unfulfilled. Some of these are due to us not having your shipping address so again, if you have not received your items, please double check that we have all the details we need. Some of the orders are held up because we ran out of Signed Blue Souvenir Posters. We are aware of each and every one of you, and I will be travelling to England at the end of this month to sign a load more so we can get your items packaged up and sent out to you. So please bear with us on that.
Having got the bulk of the Kickstarter rewards out of the way now, we have been able to start completing on the orders on the website. Although we have been doing this since we launched the website, we have been slow to respond simply because of the workload from the Kickstarter Campaign. I am happy to say that we are now clearing the backlog of orders and we are now shipping all these items typically within a couple of weeks. So if you didn't manage to pledge for any of these during the campaign and you wish to have one in your possession then you can get one from our website shop.
iPHONES
I would like to say a huge thank you to one of our sponsors who supplied the iPhones for our Prize Draw. These have now been delivered to the lucky winners who have all confirmed receipt of their new phones!
DIGITAL DOWNLOAD
By now you should have all received our email offer for your free upgrade to a high-quality version of the digital download. If any of you who want it but have not received the email for some reason, please contact me directly via email on Kickstarter (not a public comment please) and I will sort it for you.
The high-quality digital download is also available on our website so do let your friends know if you think they will enjoy the album. (And it's better quality than the version available on iTunes!)
DOCUMENTARY
We now have a full length first draft of the entire film which is ready for transcript review. We will be starting this process next week. We still have a number of people to interview for the film so there is a way to go yet, but we have certainly hit our first major milestone and I am very happy with the results so far. The plan is to have a final version ready for release at the end of this year.
LIVE CONCERTS
These are continuing to go from strength to strength. After a slow start with our premier at the Apollo in London in 2016, and then at the Royal Festival Hall in 2018, we are currently in negotiations for shows in the following countries:
·AUSTRALIA
·FRANCE
·TENERIFE
·DUBAI
·SAUDI ARABIA
·ENGLAND
·NORTH AMERICA
We will detail the exact information on our TOMB RAIDER LIVE page on our website as and when it comes in, so do keep your eyes on that.
SPAMMERS AND TROLLS
To my further disappointment it would seem we still have spammers and trolls within our midst. It really does surprise me that people who claim to love the franchise seem determined to try and derail our project. Apart from having no success, they only serve to delay us getting your rewards out to you – our true loyal backers and lovers of Tomb Raider and Lara Croft.
We will not tolerate spammers or trolls on our social media channels, and it is with regret that unfortunately we have had to ban another person from our channels who from August 5th started spamming our posts, clearly in collaboration with our previous attacker. Though we reached out to the individual at length through Kickstarter and started a dialogue, this person chose not to listen and continued to spam our account.
If any of you do have any queries about this or anything else related to the project, please email me directly through Kickstarter. We are nearly there now!
Kindest regards as always
Nathan.

TRANSPARENCY AND HONESTY
The Project
When we started the Kickstarter campaign, our policy was to not only record The Tomb Raider Suite to the highest standard possible, but to ensure that the quality of merchandise and all that we offered our backers exceeded expectations.
As a result, additional musicians were brought in, an additional 3-hour session at Abbey Road was booked, all the events were filmed to have material for a documentary; and no expense was spared to ensure the Hatfield House event was an unmitigated success.
And where additional monies were required to ensure the highest quality was maintained throughout, we used both our own personal investment and the ingenuity of the people working on the project. As a result, we were able, and continue to be able, to deliver our pledge to you.
There have been considerable regrettable delays in forwarding your merchandise but this has never been because we ran out of money. Usually the delays have been caused by compliance processes which we did not know or simply because we didn't have the manpower to move them forward any faster. The important thing to mention here is that at no point was there going to be a problem fulfilling your pledges, and as mentioned in my last update we have placed the orders on our last remaining products and are now waiting for delivery of those.
We promised you all these rewards and you will all receive them.
As for problems with postage, of the nearly 3000 packages we have sent out we have had about 30 lost, stolen or damaged. We have honoured every single item that has been reported to us damaged or missing with a new replacement. We asked if the damaged items could be returned to us, but never demanded that as a requirement to receive the replacement. The fact that only 1% of the postage was problematic is more a testimony to the excellent quality of the Royal Mail than a criticism of us. If anyone has a damaged item or has not received a reward which they should have done, then please contact me directly on the Kickstarter website, as detailed in my last update, and we will do our best to resolve that for you as quickly as we can.
Finally, we have every intention of mounting the composer buffet at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco and have reconfirmed that with them only yesterday. We will be looking at possible dates in a few months and will let everyone know when tickets will be made available.
A Response – Tracie-Anne Swift
This entire situation has been a personal attack on me and the so-called problems with the handling of the Kickstarter project has been a pretext.
Tracie-Anne was a volunteer who was invaluable in helping us with both the Kickstarter campaign and the Hatfield House Composer Buffet Reception. But, as sometimes happens unfortunately in these situations, for personal reasons we fell out.
As the saying goes, “if you never heal from what hurt you, you'll bleed on people who didn't cut you.” I can only apologise to you, our backers, that this situation was not resolved privately.
I should stress that Tracie-Anne has not been part of this project for over a year and has no idea of the current operation of The Tomb Raider Suite. As of this update we have decided to refund Tracie-Anne, not because we want to silence her, but because she was a backer, not a supporter. [See Update 73 – “ALL GOOD THINGS IN LIFE... (Part 2)”]. If you want to read her comment it remains in the main comments section.
To close
As consistent with my previous updates, we are spending the minimum possible time engaging with negative, subversive actions, comments and ‘contributions' to this campaign. This will be my only update in response to this matter.
Since Tracie-Anne left the project we have completed the pledges for the Digital Download, the first T-shirt run, the Jewel Case CDs, the Acrylic Logos and all paper products. We currently have the Deluxe Tin CDs and Vinyl Records on order. Our focus is now on the San Francisco Composer Buffet Reception and completing the remaining T-shirt orders. The Tomb Raider Suite is in the best possible place since we started the project and I am very proud of what we have delivered so far.
Our focus remains and has always been on fulfilling our commitments to you and that continues unabated despite any claims or accusations to the contrary.
Sincerely
Nathan.

THE HOME RUN
Dear Backers,
May I start by saying a big thank you to those of you who sent through positive comments and messages of support on my last update, they were very much appreciated. It has been a busy month but I'm happy to say that the project continues to move forward from strength to strength.
And so without any further ado I will move onto the project update.
VINYLS
The Vinyls as you know have now been ordered and although we did have some issues with damage to the lacquers sent through from Abbey Road to the pressing plant, we are now waiting for the test pressing which we have been told will be ready on 24th June. A little later than anticipated but it's on its way nonetheless.
DELUXE TIN CDs
I am very happy to say that these have now finally been ordered. We are still waiting for a confirmed delivery date but as soon as I get that information I will pass it on to you all.
HI-RES DIGITAL DOWNLOAD
I am also very pleased to say we now have the Digital Download of the album available in 2 new formats – Hi-Res .Mp3 and FLAC. We will be sending you all an email with a free upgrade download link should you wish to upgrade your earlier copy, so keep your eye out for this in the next few days (we are just performing our final tests to make sure everything is working properly). Simply choose which format you would like and your download will begin. Please make sure you are on a stable, secure WiFi connection and please disable any Download Manager you may be running before downloading. If your download does not work for some reason, please message me directly on Kickstarter and we will deal with that. Details of how to send me a direct message are in the SHIPMENTS section further down in this update.
iPHONES
We have received these now from our Sponsor (thank you very much for those) and they will be posted out to the lucky winners by the end of this week.
COMPOSER BUFFET RECEPTION – SAN FRANCISCO
I have said it before and I'll say it again, we are proceeding with this event, and now that all the other rewards are in production, we can focus on this fully and make it the special event we have promised.
DOCUMENTARY
This has been progressing very well. We are now only 2 weeks away from having our first full-length edit which will then undergo a review process before iterating on various sections. We are also pursuing various celebrities for their involvement so with a bit of luck, it should be a very entertaining and informative film.
CONCERTS
Interest has been steadily growing for our show. We still have the 2 shows in Australia pending. We are negotiating for 2 more shows in Dubai and Saudi Arabia. Also in negotiation is a show in Paris, Tenerife and a series of shows across North America, and another very special show which we will detail once we get confirmation on that. So it's all looking very positive indeed.
SHIPMENTS
Of the nearly 3000 packages we have sent out, we have had about 30 either lost, stolen or damaged. This was to be expected and not a bad percentage in the grand scheme of things. I know some of you have not received your rewards yet, and this is either due to the fact that we are waiting for stock or we simply do not have your shipping address. Rest assured though that I have everything logged in our master spreadsheet and I will get to each and every one of you in time. Please continue to be patient – this is very much appreciated. If you do however feel the urge to nudge me please do so via a DIRECT MESSAGE on the Kickstarter website. You can do this by clicking on my name on the main project page...
Main Project Page
...and then clicking on the blue CONTACT ME button. I will get to your message and resolve any issues you may have.
We have not demanded anyone to return damaged goods, but those of you that have out of the kindness of your hearts, thank you very much.
MY FATHER
As a final note, it is with great sadness that unfortunately my Father passed away just last week. He always believed in my ability as a composer and it was his life-time dream to see one of my works performed by a live concert orchestra. In December 2016 his life-time dream was fulfilled and the look on his face when I saw him in the VIP lounge after the show, said it all. He was also massively impressed with the recording we made at Abbey Road and I was very fortunate to be able to see him in hospital just 1 month before he died to deliver him his copy of The Tomb Raider Suite. I took a small ghettoblaster to his room in the hospital and we listened to the whole album together. He smiled the last smile I saw for the full 93 minutes. It was probably the most moving experience of my life to date, and for that I thank each and every one of you for helping me to create this album and to make his dream come true. Thank you.
Enjoying The Tomb Raider Suite together
Once again, thank you all for your continued support – we are on the home run now.
Kindest regards
Nathan.

BREAKING RADIO SILENCE
Posted by Nathan McCree
Dear Backers,
Hello once again.
I would like to start by not apologising for the recent radio silence but by explaining why I have been a little quiet and what has been happening.
In my last update, I wrote that I would inform you once I had a firm delivery date for the Vinyls and Deluxe Tin CDs. It is with great pleasure that I am now in a position to do that. The process of securing a solid delivery date (or as best as it can be) for these items has been one of the most difficult tasks I have yet experienced throughout this campaign.
Our problem, in short, is 4 different album designs, coupled with 2 rather expensive formats.
The album designs we have are:
·CLASSIC LARA
·MODERN LARA
·GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION
·RETAIL EDITION
Originally we only wanted 2 – CLASSIC LARA and the GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION – but due to political reasons, our hands were tied and we ended up with 4 designs.
Of course most of your chose CLASSIC LARA for your album covers but there were those who chose MODERN LARA. The GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION is a special edition that cannot be purchased or pledged for but can only won in prize draws or competitions and is generally the version we give away to members of the production crew as our way of saying thank you. The RETAIL EDITION is the version which we are selling to the general public in order to maintain the exclusivity of the CLASSIC and MODERN albums for you, our backers.
With all that said, we have the total numbers of each of these designs which we need to manufacture in order to fulfil on the rewards, present to the production crew, and to service the ongoing demand on our website.
Very importantly we also have a budget to stick to.
The task has been to find suppliers for the Vinyls and Tin CDs who can deliver us the numbers we need and inside our budget. Unknown to us when we started this campaign, both Vinyl and Tin CD suppliers have minimum print orders, which, given the low numbers we need for the MODERN LARA and GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION albums, made it extremely difficult to find the right supplier at the right price without being left with large amounts of stock that we can't sell, or otherwise shift for the reasons outlined above.
On top of this, having found our preferred supplier for the Tin CDs back in 2018, we discovered that the cost of their tin almost doubled at the turn of this year, and that really threw a wrench in the works while we worked out how to acquire the extra funding we needed to manufacture them.
To cut this rather long story short, we have now secured our preferred suppliers for both the Vinyl and Tin CDs. We have paid for the order on the Vinyls and we will be placing the order for the Tin CDs next week.
Following on from the large amount of criticism and trolling I received a few months ago, I made the decision that I would not be answering unimportant individual comments and emails as it was counter-productive to the success of the project due to the huge amount of time that it consumes. I know this has been frustrating for some of you but it was a necessary step to keep the project moving forward.
Apart from this, and the rather difficult task of sourcing our Vinyl and Tin CD suppliers which I have needed to focus on 100%, a month ago I sustained a rather serious injury to my right shoulder which landed me in hospital for surgery to piece me back together again. My right arm has been in a sling, 24 hours a day for 3 weeks now, with another 2 months to go before I must endure another operation to remove the metal armature which is currently holding it together. Suffice to say this has made me “unfit for work” so I've had to rely on the other team members to carry the load while I rest and recover. I would personally like to thank them very much indeed for the extra work they have taken on to keep things moving at the same speed. It's fantastic to have their support.
Unfit for work!
Metal armature!
These are the reasons for the apparent ‘radio silence'.
And so onto the information I know many of you have wanted to know for some months now, which is when you will be receiving your albums. So I am happy to pass on the information we have been given.
VINYL
The master lacquers have now been ordered from Abbey Road Studios, and having spoken to our mastering engineer Geoff Pesche about this, he has scheduled this into his diary for today (Friday 17th May 2019). The lacquers are then sent to the pressing plant and they should receive them by Tuesday 21st May 2019. The pressing plant then makes a test pressing which gets sent back to Abbey Road Studios for approval. We have been told it can take up to 20 days to produce the test pressing. Add roughly another week after that for posting the test pressings and receiving approval from Abbey Road, which takes us to the week of 17th June 2019.
After that the pressing plant goes into full scale production and we have been told we can expect delivery of 1400 vinyl albums from 5 to 6 weeks after that, which takes us to somewhere between Monday 22nd July 2019 and Monday 29th July 2019. The albums are being sent to me here in the Czech Republic as I need to sign every single one before packaging and posting out to you. The signing can be done in a day (yes, even in a sling!). The packaging will take a little longer, but I anticipate we should be able to start shipping in batches – probably according to reward tier – the following week, which would be the week of 5th August 2019.
The postal service usually takes a few days for mainland Europe, up to 5 days to reach the UK and up to 20 days to reach the United States and other countries of similar distance. So depending on where you live, sometime during August 2019 you should receive your Signed Double Vinyl Album of The Tomb Raider Suite.
DELUXE TIN CDs
Because we have yet to place the order with our supplier, we don't have a confirmed delivery date but we have been told on numerous occasions that we should expect delivery 12 weeks after placing the order. Assuming that that indeed happens next week, say on Thursday 23rd May 2019, we would be looking at a delivery date of Thursday 15th August 2019. Again they all need signing and packaging up, so another week for that takes us to Thursday 22nd August at the earliest before we can start shipping out to you. Adding a couple of buffer days for things that might be slightly held up, like the post, it seems reasonable to expect that we can ship them out the week of 26th August 2019.
Allowing for between 3 and 20 days for delivery, you can expect to receive your Deluxe Tin CD of The Tomb Raider Suite towards the end of August through to Mid September 2019. I will of course give you more accurate dates once we place this order, and as we move forward through the manufacturing process.
iPHONE PRIZE DRAW
In spite of my recent health setback, I finally got round to contacting the winners and they have all responded with their choice of colour. I have contacted our sponsor and placed the order with them, so now we are waiting for delivery on those. As soon as they arrive we will send those out by registered post to the 5 lucky winners. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who upped their pledge to be eligible for the draw.
COMPOSER BUFFET RECEPTION – SAN FRANCISCO
After the unfortunate postponement, we are now in a position to re-engage organising this event. Much of the ground work has already been done. We have the venue, the catering, the audio, lighting and visuals all set up. The content for the evening is also pretty much prepared having staged this event once already at Hatfield House in England.
With much of the reward fulfilment behind us now, we are able to focus on this event and make it really special, which is what we always wanted and why we decided to postpone it last year. Having said that, there is still a lot to do - refining the budget plan, designing/producing our marketing plan and putting that into action, and organising our crew and key personalities with flights and hotels, etc. One thing left to source is the live string octet who we hope will be performing some of the tracks from the album during the evening. All in all, it should be an evening not to be missed. We don't have a definite date for this yet, as there is still a lot of planning to do, but as soon as that is confirmed I will of course let you know.
T-SHIRTS
Apart from running out of stock on our first run – don't ask me how that happened!? – we have been looking for a new supplier moving forward. We still have a batch to produce to complete on our rewards, and we want our supplier to be able to produce single orders as and when they come in through our website. It's all about cost and how integrated they can be in our business. It's taken a bit of a back seat with everything else going on lately, but we are back on the case with this now and we hope to start shipping the T-Shirts in a couple of weeks. I know I've said this before, and I'll say it again, that is what we hope for. It doesn't always happen but that's our current goal.
So that's about it for now. Thank you all once again, for your patience and I will post another update as soon as we have some more concrete news on delivery dates for any of the above rewards, or more definitive arrangements for the San Francisco event.
Over and out,
Nathan.

THIEVING POSTMEN AND OTHER SHENANIGANS
Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear Backers,
First of all I would like to wish you all a Happy New Year.
I trust you all had a good Christmas.
2018 was a testing year for the TRS team, but we battled through it and with renewed energy we are steaming forward into 2019. With that in mind here is another update for you on the status of the project and your rewards.
As most of you will know, we made our first shipment on 18th December last year sending out all the paper items and T-Shirts.
We had some returns due to us having old shipping address details, so if you have moved address recently please may I ask you to either update your details via the survey we sent out last year, or send me a private message on Kickstarter and I will do the job for you.
We also had some thieving b’stard postmen from around the world stealing T-Shirts and other goodies from the Poster Tubes. Some of them stealing entire tubes altogether. So if you were expecting any paper items or T-Shirts and you have not yet received them, please let me know and we will look into it, and then report the thieving sod to your local post office.
So onto the rest of our products...
3D Logos
These have been manufactured now and are in our possession, so we will be posting these out in our next shipping run.
Jewel Case CDs
After a very frustrating lead up to Christmas 2018, we had the unfortunate news that our supplier was not able to deliver before Christmas, despite having been told the contrary a few weeks before. We were then given a delivery date of 15th January, only to be told later that the particular Multi-Box CD cases we ordered were out of stock and would not in fact even be available until the 15th January! I was very tempted to attend the supplier’s office in person with my double guns blazing, but the rogue drones at Heathrow airport put a stop to that. I contacted them 2 days ago and was told that we can expect delivery on 28th January, so we plan to make our next shipping run on 2nd February and get these sent out to you.
Double Vinyl Albums
Although the final adjustments to the artwork have been completed, we were missing one important ingredient to our finished product and that was the central image for the inside of the gatefold sleeve. We thought long and hard about what image we should use here, and after much deliberation we decided to ask Jill Furmanovsky (Abbey Road’s resident photographer) for permission to use 2 of her composite photographs she took during the recording session of the album. Jill is super famous and has photographed pretty much everyone and anyone who has been to Abbey Road, including Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Eric Clapton, Blondie, The Police, Led Zeppelin, The Pretenders, Bob Dylan, and Oasis to name a few. So we thought, in line with our ‘top quality’ direction for The Tomb Raider Suite, using Jill’s photos will add that icing on the cake for this very special Vinyl album.
Our plan is to use one of the photos for the Classic Lara and Modern Lara albums, and the other for the Gold Ultimate Edition and Retail albums.
Jill very kindly slashed her usual fee to fit in with our budget and we are very grateful to her for that and honoured that she is allowing us to use them.
If you want to check out her work, I’m sure you will eat away a few hours looking through some of the amazing photos she has taken over the last 40 years.
https://www.rockarchive.com/photographers/jill-furmanovsky
I took possession of Jill’s photos today so we are now inserting them into our vinyl gatefold templates in preparation for the manufacturing of the albums themselves.
Deluxe Tin CDs
This week also sees the completion of the final adjustments to the artwork of the Tin CDs. It may seem like a simple task to do, but it is far from that. Printing onto tin produces a different finish to that of printing on paper, so we cannot simply translate changes we make to the Jewel Case CDs directly over to the Tin CDs. Furthermore we do not have the budget to produce test prints of the Tin CDs. Apart from them being manufactured in China, test prints onto Tin are very expensive due to the overheads in setting up the machines. So we are very much reliant on our agent here in the UK who is guiding us through these final stages via conversations with the pressing plant in China. And although this is the quickest way for us to get it all sorted, the time difference plays its part in slowing the whole process whenever changes are made, or when questions need answering. With all this said, we have high hopes that we can finally place this order by the beginning of next week.
Composer Buffet Reception – San Francisco
With most of the work load now behind us, I am happy to say that we are able to re-engage our plans for the San Francisco Composer Buffet Reception. We have some number crunching to do in the first instance now that we have our actual spend on the reception at Hatfield House. Once that’s done we should be in a strong position to look at securing a date for this event. Of course I will let you know that and other details as soon as they are confirmed.
Live Concerts
We are constantly pushing for more gigs and currently we are talking to orchestras in the UK, Ireland, Czech Republic, Tenerife and also pushing out to orchestras in China, Japan, Singapore and South Korea. So hopefully we can bring Tomb Raider: Live In Concert to some of those places in the not too distant future. Although it was a shame that the Australian gigs were postponed, we have been told that they will happen towards the end of this year. So we have our fingers tightly crossed for that.
Tomb Raider 1, 2 & 3 Soundtracks
Plans to start work on these in February are still in place.
Documentary
We are making good progress with the Documentary and have our first excerpt trailer which I am happy to be able to share with you all now via the link below.
https://youtu.be/-bFVU1q5ma4
We still have a little more filming to do, but we are very excited about how it is coming together and we hope to have a final cut ready in a couple of months time.
So that’s about it for now. Onwards and upwards, as they say.
Jewel Case CDs coming next.
Over and out!
Nathan.

Oyez, Oyez, Oyez!
Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear Backers,
I hope this letter finds you all well!
There are a few updates/requests I have for you, as well as some news.
Information request
Firstly I have a request for information and it is specifically directed at those of you who attended the Composer Buffet Reception at Hatfield House.
Among the 25 of you who won a Gold Ultimate Edition album, I don’t have contact details for 4 people. Their names are as follows:
· Conchi Fernarda
· Chris Gell
· Elsa Charriere
· Carrol Masters
If any of you know who these people are and could pass on their email or their shipping address, please send me a private message and let me know.
Thank you.
Paper Items and T-Shirts
We are delighted to report that over 960 paper Items and T-Shirts have now been sent out. If you were expecting some of these items and haven’t received yours yet, there are a few reasons why this may have happened:
· You have not told us your shipping address
· You have not told us your choice of either Red or Blue souvenir poster
· You have not told us what kind/size etc T-Shirt you would like
· We have yet to post your items (we ran out of Blue Posters, poster tubes and some T-Shirt sizes – we are replenishing our stock and will post your items in our next shipping run in the New Year
· You live a long way away and your items are still shipping 😊
Digital Download
I trust that most of you will have received your copy now. If you haven’t or are still having problems with the download link, please email me directly and I will happily sort it out for you.
The High-Quality mp3 and Flac versions of the album are coming… We have the process of making this available fully designed now and we will be implementing this after Christmas.
Jewel Case CD
While we tried our very hardest to get these to you before Christmas, sadly I have to say that this just wasn’t possible in the end. We’ve had a multitude of hurdles to overcome, and while we have jumped over most of them, the final was that the actual cases themselves being unavailable and the earliest our provider can deliver them to us (to start filling with artwork etc.) is January 15th – we are SO sorry and are all very disappointed your CD isn’t under your Christmas trees! We are hoping that the delivery of these will at least be something to look forward to early in the New Year.
Vinyl Albums
We have shifted our focus onto these now. Much of the artwork has already been done, so we are moving straight into the final artwork polishing stage for these – aiming to make them something that will have been worth the wait.
Tin CDs
Again, most of the artwork has already been done for these, so we should get these into production early in January.
Tomb Raider: Live In Concert
Some of you may already know that unfortunately the promoter for the 2 upcoming shows in Australia has decided to postpone these events until later in 2019. Those of you who had already bought a ticket will be contacted and offered a refund at this stage. We will let you know of course as soon as we have new dates confirmed for these 2 shows.
Stretch Goals
I am very keen to get moving on the soundtrack albums and the TRS synth mixes, and I’m hoping to start these by February now that our insane workload has started to back off a little. We already have our first excerpt trailer for the Documentary and I will be posting that early in the New Year for you all to have a special preview.
I would finally like to wish you all a very HAPPY CHRISTMAS and a fantastic New Year.
Kindest regards
Nathan.

Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear Backers,
After a very successful release last month, the Digital Download of The Tomb Raider Suite is now available on all major digital outlets and streaming services.
We had the premier airplay on Classic FM and for those of you who missed it here is an edit I made of the John Suchet show from the 26th October 2018.
John Suchet plays the Tomb Raider Theme on Classic FM
We also had another airing on Classic FM the following Sunday (28th October 2018) on Bill Turnbull’s show no less and I have been told that it will be aired across multiple programmes over the next few days and weeks. So I’m really pleased about that.
I hope you all received your download link ok, which was sent out to you on Wednesday 24th October 2018. A few people had problems downloading, mainly to do with them using Internet Download Managers, so if you still have yet to use your download link, please make sure you are on a stable, secure internet connection and that you disable your Internet Download Manager if you use one.
We were limited to the quality of the .mp3s we supplied due to our website bandwidth restrictions. I know some of you want higher quality files so we are working on that and we hope to have high quality mp3s and flac versions available for you very soon.
Merchandise
With the Digital Release practically behind us now, we are focusing on the production of the merchandise. Most of it has been manufactured now and I am flying into London on the 7th December to meet with the rest of the team to prepare the packages for our first shipment.
A quick rundown of where we are is as follows:
CONCERT POSTER (Red & Blue) – Printed, signed and ready to ship
SCORE PAGE 1 – Printed, signed and ready to ship
CONCERT PROGRAMME – Printed, signed and ready to ship
GOLD ULTIMATE EDITION POSTER – Printed, signed and ready to ship
T-SHIRTS – Printed and ready to ship
TRS 3D ACRYLIC LOGO – Manufactured and waiting to receive – to ship mid-December
JEWEL CASE CD – Manufactured and waiting to receive – to ship mid-December
DELUXE TIN CDS – Final adjustments to artwork in progress
VINYL – Final adjustments to artwork in progress
iPhones
This is still happening. We have our list of winners and I will be contacting those people soon about their choice of colour for their phone.
Composer Buffet Reception – San Francisco
This is still on hold but by no means cancelled. Most likely we will be looking to arrange this for somewhere around the Spring or Summer of next year (2019).
The Documentary
We are now in post-production. We will have our first extract trailer ready in the next few days so I will post that here on Kickstarter and on Social Media as soon as it’s ready. It will take approximately three months to complete, but it is progressing well.
TR1, 2 & 3 Original Soundtracks
Still to do
Tomb Raider Suite (Synth Mixes)
This has already been recorded, so I’ve been talking with our mixing engineer Paul Pritchard from Abbey Road about the mixing process for this album to work out our options for next steps. Will keep you posted on that as things develop.
Live Shows
I think I’ve mentioned that we had a very successful show at the Royal Festival Hall in September, which I have still to post about in full detail. I will do that in our next Newsletter, so if you want to hear more about that and you haven’t signed up yet, please do so via our website at www.tombraidersuite.com. You can find the subscription box in the footer on any page.
I am very happy to say that we have another show confirmed at the Hamer Hall in Melbourne, Australia, on the 14th April 2019. So if any of you are over in that neck of the woods, I will be flying out there for the show and I very much look forward to meeting some of you there.
If you can’t make it to the show in Melbourne, please support the event by sharing our posts with your friends. The more successful each show is, the greater our chance of putting on the next, which increases our chances of bringing the show to a city near you.
Once again, I would like to thank you all for your patience and support so far. I can say with confidence now, that you will be receiving some of your TRS goodies in time for Christmas!
Kindest regards
Nathan.

THE COGS OF BUREAUCRACY
Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear Backers,
Another month has flown by and so here I am again with an update on where we’re at with the project.
Firstly I want to say a huge thank you for all your messages and comments of support after my last update. It really did fuel me with renewed energy which was very much needed and appreciated. So thank you all very much indeed.
I am very pleased to say that we now have our digital distribution network application approved! We are, however, still caught up in the registration process of the recordings, and until this is resolved to our satisfaction we cannot move forward with the Digital Download release.
I want to give you an insight into this so you understand the complicated administration process which is required for any retail digital release, and which, as with many things per my last update, is terrain we’ve had to learn along the way.
Each tune needs an ISRC code. This is effectively a bar code for each track. To acquire an ISRC code, you have to be registered with the PPL (in the UK) which is the organisation that collects royalties on published recordings. When registering a tune with the PPL, you must supply an ISRC code. You must also supply a Tunecode. Tunecodes are supplied by the PRS, which is the organisation that collects royalties for public performances of a composition. Once the compositions are registered with the PRS and the recordings with the PPL, you then need to register a Release with the MCPS which is the organisation which collects royalties on physical products, like CDs, DVDs and in fact also Digital Downloads. Once the Release has been registered with the MCPS, then it is possible to register, or publish the Release with a Distributor. Once that’s done, a release date is set and the Distributor sends the Release to the retail outlets like iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, etc.
The information supplied by me for the registration of this music has to be double checked and verified every step of the way by each of these organisations, often requiring information supplied from each other before the information is finally validated and approved.
All this does not even cover the stage of the process whereby we register with the worldwide affiliates of the PPL, PRS and MCPS.
We are currently wading through this registration process – and have been for several months now.
To make matters worse, the website form pages we are mandated to use are clunky (to say the least!) and full of bugs. We have previously found and resolved several bugs during this registration process but unfortunately, we recently discovered that by amending our previously saved registrations, some of the previously entered data was missing. We have been in regular contact with the PRS, PPL and MCPS about this but, as the title of this update suggests, these organisations move very slowly and there is little we can do to speed things up. Below is an example of just one of the many problems we have had along the way, and how a simple problem like this can take weeks to resolve.
The Cogs Of Bureaucracy
I hope this insight goes to show just how many days can be absorbed by one simple problem. The weeks just fly by when you’re having fun!
Wading Through Bureaucracy with Double Guns
The upshot of all this, is that although things are moving slowly at the moment, we are indeed still moving forward. We are in the final throes of getting the registrations finalised and believe me, once that’s done, I will be securing a release date with the distributor and pressing those upload buttons faster than the run buttons in the 100m dash in Konami’s International Track & Field PSX title!
International Track & Field
We are pleased to say however, that the Jewel Case CD booklet and cover Epsom proofs have been received, and we are now just waiting for final approval from all interested parties before moving into full scale production.
Other News
In other news, we had a very successful concert just over 2 weeks ago now at the Royal Festival Hall in London and here are a few photos from that night. Shelley Blond was our compere as before and did another perfect job for us. Tom George played the part of Winston again and our latest addition to the show, the one and only Alison Carroll as Lara Croft, who wowed everyone with her special moves as she performed amongst the crowd during the performance of The Skidoo!
The Tomb Raider Suite was performed by The Senbla Concert Orchestra, conducted by Elliot Davis, and the English Chamber Choir under their Musical Director, Guy Protheroe.
Here are a few photos from that night.

If you would like to receive a full run down of the evening with loads more pics, please sign up to our website newsletter. You can find this at the bottom of any of our website pages. I will be posting out our next newsletter in a couple of days’ time. www.tombraidersuite.com
One of the great things about going to London for this show was that it gave me the perfect opportunity to sign all the printed merchandise for the Kickstarter rewards. I signed a total of 1800 autographs in 6 hours. My producer kept me fed and watered throughout the day which was very much appreciated!
Signing the Kickstarter merchandise
In light of the interest fans across the world have expressed, we have been asked to consider a European tour. There is also the possibility of taking Tomb Raider: Live In Concert to Australia - one show at the incredible Hamer Hall in Melbourne, and the other at the fantastic Sydney Opera House in Sydney no less! This is really fantastic news, and is a testament to the hard work which everyone has put into the project so far.
Hamer Hall, Melbourne
Sydney Opera House, Sydney
But, just to clarify, none of these possibilities have any bearing on the digital release, nor do they encroach on the time I am spending day in, day out working through the complicated process necessary to release the album and send out all the merchandise you’ve been waiting for.
I have a team around me who are taking care of a lot of aspects of this concert project, which enables me to focus my time and energy on delivering the album and merchandise to you. And I ensure you this remains my first priority.
Another reason I mention this, is that I was rather disheartened to read on social media that some people are angry that we are putting on these shows, enabling those who live close to the venues to hear the music before the backers receive their Digital Download, and furthermore saying that the Kickstarter backers deserve the right to hear the music first. So I want to clarify the situation so there’s no confusion. The show “Tomb Raider: Live In Concert” was conceived and indeed had its premiere performance on 18th December 2016 to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of Tomb Raider. This happened before we had even thought about running this Kickstarter campaign. The Kickstarter campaign was run to specifically raise money to record The Tomb Raider Suite with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios. The live show has nothing to do with this Kickstarter. It is something which rolls out as and when we get interest from promoters around the world. The 2 entities – the live show and the recording of The Tomb Raider Suite – are separate and are not connected, other than them being performances of the same score. The intention for the show was always to try and take it around the world, which is precisely what we are doing. The intention for the Kickstarter campaign was to raise enough money to record The Tomb Raider Suite at Abbey Road studios and to release the album. That is also what we are doing.
To be angry with me for putting on live shows, is like telling me I am not allowed to continue with my career until I have fulfilled on the rewards of the Kickstarter campaign, which is totally absurd. I have a mortgage, kids and bills just like everyone else. So I just wanted to make things clear to avoid any confusion and anger on the heels of this update.
What I have promised you - the backers of this Kickstarter - is that you will be the first to hear the album as performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and recorded at Abbey Road Studios. Apart from those of you who attended the Composer Buffet Reception at Hatfield House, nobody else in the world has heard the album and I will keep to my word that the backers of this Kickstarter Campaign will receive a copy of the album before anyone else.
So with all that said, I regret that again I can’t say the words “The Tomb Raider Suite is released”, but please know that we are getting there, and it is certainly not due to a lack of diligent, daily efforts on the part of everyone involved. Our current estimate to release is now weeks, not months!
Thank you again for your continued support, understanding and patience. It is greatly appreciated and it’s important to me that you know I am working as hard as I can to deliver the music to you, within all the constraints that come with daily life as a human, a working professional, and a father.
Kindest regards
Nathan.

ALL GOOD THINGS IN LIFE... (Part 2)
Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear Backers,
My mother once said to me, “All good things in life come to those that wait.” And we have a good thing here…
I would like to explain a little about what’s going on, to give you an insight into the inner workings of the project, to help you understand why the delays have happened and what we still need to do to deliver your albums, t-shirts and other merchandise. We want you to feel included and make this process as transparent as possible. Moving forward I will set up a Patreon for those who are interested in following our progress long term.
From the very beginning back in 1996, it has always been my intention to record and release a commercial album for public sale. After many years talking to Eidos and then Square Enix, we finally acquired the rights to do this in 2015. My intention at that point was to sign up with a record company who would have provided the funding we needed to record and release the album. But having spoken to most of the biggest players, the likes of Sony, EMI, BMG, Decca and more, we quickly learned that we were not going to achieve a record deal for what they termed as a soundtrack. Strictly speaking, The Tomb Raider Suite is not a soundtrack; it is a collection of songs or pieces which are derived from a game soundtrack. But alas, this made no difference, they all wanted to publish it; none of them wanted to fund it.
We therefore decided on a Kickstarter campaign to raise the money. As you know, the campaign was extremely successful having raised 121% of our funding goal. It seemed like we had everything we needed to fulfil on our rewards. However, we were actually missing one very important ingredient – a record company. Apart from providing funds to record an album, it transpires a record company does a myriad of other things, many of them administrative, some of them very proactive.
So, in short, without all the infrastructure of a record label, we have had to learn as we go how to accomplish all the countless tasks that are involved in getting an album released.
Here is a brief list (not comprehensive by any stretch of the imagination) of some of the things we have had to learn and do:
· Registering and acquiring ISRC codes for each tune for the Digital Download for worldwide distribution.
· Registering the music with the various royalty collection agencies worldwide for public airplay and for point of sales – see table below:
· Royalty Collection Agencies
· Registering with the Official Charts Company to get our sales included in the UK Classical Album Charts.
· Registering and acquiring unique barcodes for all of our merchandise to enable us to sell online, worldwide.
· Registering all our products for VAT in 26 different European countries and submitting VAT returns quarterly.
· Sourcing legal documents such as, Website Terms of Use, Cookie and Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions for Online Sales.
· Acquiring legal notifications for Copyright and Publishing Lines and Disclaimer Notifications.
· Acquiring names and registering each and every single musician for each track (124 musicians x 24 tracks) so that they each receive their share of the performance royalties whenever a track from the album is played on the radio or TV worldwide.
· Marketing the album online, so that when we are ready to release, the world knows about it.
· Striking deals with radio stations, show promoters, music agents, retail stores.
· Dealing with multiple contracts on an almost daily basis.
· Researching and sourcing merchandise manufacturers – striking deals, contracts etc.
· Researching how to distribute a total of 1.2TB of data to 2400 backers (in chunks of 500MB each) and the security / bandwidth issues surrounding that.
· Responding to fans on social media, both supporters and trolls.
· And finally, trying our best to keep you, the Kickstarter backers who helped us get started on this epic journey, informed and updated as best as we can along the way.
Record labels have teams of people, all knowledgeable and experienced in their particular specialist fields. We are a team of two people – both of us new to all of this.
The release dates we’ve been working towards are projected (estimated) dates based on our knowledge of the tasks we have to accomplish and the timeframe we have believed we can achieve them in. Very often, as we’ve moved forward, we’ve been faced with many unforeseen and totally unexpected obstacles. I have practically stopped my full-time job for over a year – which means not getting paid – in order to fulfil on the rewards as soon as humanly possible. I share this with you because I know you have invested in the Tomb Raider Suite, and it’s important to me you all understand the extent to which I am devoted to this project. As well as so much time, I myself have also invested over £30,000 into making this album, and my business partner has invested over £50,000.
It is therefore rather disheartening when I receive negative criticism (to the point of trolling) about what we are doing to release the album and why it keeps getting delayed. For those who continue to complain, I have no problem whatsoever in refunding them. There is a big difference between being a backer and being a supporter. Trolls are not supporters of our efforts, and we don’t need them.
As a consequence, I have my finger poised over the refund button for anyone that is unsupportive of what we are trying to do and the work and money we have personally put into this project to bring this historic album to you. This is a monumental task that we have undertaken, and having to respond directly (sometimes for hours at a time) to people who simply don’t read, don’t want to listen or are determined to misunderstand, has a direct negative impact on myself and the project and only serves to delay us further. And that is not fair on the rest of the backers who are supporters of what we are doing (of which there are legion and of whom I’m so grateful to).
We are very close now to delivering what we promised and we will not fail you. It really is just a matter of weeks now as we wait for the final registrations with our distributors and the synchronisation with Classic FM to announce the release of the album.
In the meantime, for those of you who are chomping at the bit to hear the album, Tomb Raider: Live in Concert is coming to London’s South Bank on Monday 17th September for a performance at the Royal Festival Hall. I do hope you can come along as this will be such a special event in one of the capital’s most prestigious venues.
With all that said, I do hope this update goes some way to explaining why we are where we are – and that you will continue to support us in these final few weeks leading up to the release.
Kindest regards as always
Nathan.

ALL GOOD THINGS IN LIFE... (Part 1)
Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear Backers,
Firstly, I just want to say thank you to all the fans who’ve shown such understanding despite how long you’ve all been waiting. We empathise with you and share your impatience, best rest assured we are working very hard to get your much-anticipated music, merchandise and t-shirts out to you.
There are 2 parts to this update. Part 1 is today, which is where we’re at. Part 2 is coming by the end of the weekend. I feel it’s really important to keep you, the backers of this project, informed and provide you with some important context and background as to why we are where we are at this time.
Part 1 of 2: WHERE WE’RE AT
Physical Rewards
I am happy to report that all of the printed paper items from the Kickstarter campaign is now complete and the only step left is to sign them. I’ll be signing everything on the 16th of September when I fly to the UK for our next show at the Royal Festival Hall. T-Shirts will also be ready at that time. We will subsequently post these items out the week after.
To make this possible, we are absorbing the shipping costs to ship to many of our backers twice! One of our many (costly) lessons learned from this project, but it’s of the utmost importance to us to get your merchandise to you as quickly as we can!
Physical Albums
· The Jewel case CDs are now on order
· The Deluxe Tin CDs will be finalized and the order placed by the beginning of next week
· The Vinyl will be ordered by the end of next week
Digital Downloads
I will say much more about this in Part 2 of this update, but what you need to know about where we’re at follows below:
The great news:
We have Classic FM waiting to play the theme tune and to announce the official retail release date. However, when Classic FM play the theme and announces this, we will need to have the digital download actively available on our website, so there is a lot of technical preparation required on our end. We will of course, let you know when to expect to hear it on the airwaves so we can tune in together.
The good news:
We will be giving all of the backers the digital download a few days before the retail release of the digital download. So as soon as we know when Classic FM will be airing the theme song and announcing the retail release, we will have the date when you will be receiving your digital downloads.
The annoying news:
There are two major hurdles to getting the digital downloads released.
1. The first is a bureaucratic hurdle: we need a release date for the retail digital download, and in order to receive a release date, we need to register with a digital download distributer.
We have made that application to AWAL and were informed that it can take up to 4 weeks for them to review and approve our application. They have been quite responsive though, so we are hopeful that they will approve our application in the next few days. They have advised us that they then need a 4 week lead time before a release date. We are not sure exactly why they need this, but presumably it is to give them time to distribute the album to all the major digital suppliers.
So we’re anticipating releasing the album from anything between 5 and 8 weeks from now, all going well with our application.
2. The second is a technical hurdle. There is a lot of configuration required for the backend software we are using to facilitate digital downloads via our website and that is going to take some time to research and figure out.
I am working diligently on Part 2 of this update, and will be in touch with you again by the end of the weekend. It will include much richer detail on why we are exactly where we are with the project, for those of you interested to know the inner workings of a project like this, and to understand some of the delays that have been as frustrating for you as they have been for me.
Once again I thank you all for your patience and stand by for more updates soon.
Kindest regards
Nathan.

STUFF
Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear Backers,
Another month has gone by, so it’s time for another Update.
Rewards
I am very happy to tell you that we have finally gone into our manufacturing phase of the project.
Printed Material
Having finalised all the artwork for the printed merchandise, the orders were placed and printing is now done. I am planning a trip to the UK very shortly to sign the posters, programmes etc and we will be shipping to you hopefully in the next couple of weeks.
T-Shirts
With all the artwork ready, we are very close to finalising the right T-shirt supplier, so those too should be printed and ready to ship within about 14 days.
Albums
The artwork for the front and back covers of the Jewel Case CD, Deluxe Tin CD and Vinyl, along with the 16-page booklet, is now finalised and ready for printing. We will be placing orders in the next day or two.
Digital Download
After a considerable amount of research and fact finding we now believe we have the right solution to be able to distribute the Digital Download to you all in a couple of weeks’ time. We will most likely do this via our website. There is still some implementation to be done, and our web-hosting service needs a bandwidth boost in order to allow us to deliver such a large amount of data in just a few days. But everything is in-hand and is coming together nicely.
To honour the support you have shown us in backing this project, we are planning on giving the Digital Download to our backers first, a couple of days before our main retail digital release, which we hope will synchronise with our first radio airplay on Classic FM in the UK.
So not long to go now folks!
The Documentary
Having filmed almost all of our material now, we are pushing forward into the next phase – editing. We still have a few more interviews to film, which will be happening over the next few weeks, but basically we can start marking and gathering all the clips we want to use in the documentary. It will take about a month to go through all the footage we have shot, and then another month to piece it together, so we hope to have our first rough edit in a couple of months’ time.
Live Shows
We are pushing into this space steadily and surely. As you know we have our next live concert at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Monday 17th September. We are also in negotiations for another 2 shows in Australia, one at the Sydney Opera House and one in Melbourne (venue to be confirmed). I will update you more on this when we get some solid dates. We are also pushing to get the show into China, Japan, Singapore and South Korea. Again, I will share more information on this as things unfold. Our world tour is starting to look a reality!
Stretch Goals
Some of you have been asking me about the TR1, 2 & 3 Original Soundtrack (synth mix) releases, and the synth mix release of The Tomb Raider Suite. I have not forgotten about these and I will get to them. There is some work that needs doing, but not a huge amount, so we should be able to get both these albums released a few months after our main album release this month.
Moving Forward
Recently I have been thinking about sharing more details about the inner workings of the company to those of you who may be interested. And so rather than spam all 2600+ of you, I thought about setting up a Patreon account, so those of you who want to follow the project in closer detail will be able to. Just a thought at the moment, so again as soon as there’s some movement in this area, I will let you know.
So that’s about it for now. We are nearly there everyone. Thank you all again for your patience, it is very much appreciated.
Kind regards
Nathan.

THE GOOD, THE SAD, AND THE OTHER.
Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear Backers,
It’s been nearly 2 months since my last update, and a lot has been going on behind the scenes so I thought it would be a good time to share some news with you.
The last time I sent out an update we were in the final stages of preparing for the Composer Buffet Reception at Hatfield House. I have to tell you that the event went without a single hitch. Hatfield House provided an excellent hot and cold buffet, and the drinks flowed all evening.
Our guests enjoying The Tomb Raider Suite at Hatfield House
String Infusion played beautifully and I couldn’t have asked for a better performance. For those of you that weren’t able to attend, we did record a live stream on the night which you can see via the YouTube link below.
Composer Buffet Reception Live Stream from Hatfield House
String Infusion performing The Tomb Raider Suite
We also played the final episode of our Hatfield House Teaser Movie, which climaxed with Alison Carroll as Lara Croft and I making our grand entrance – our secret journey to The Old Palace was a barrel of laughs! Alison did a fantastic job and really enjoyed meeting everyone and I must personally thank her for being an absolute star on the night, and for not injuring herself (or anyone else) during the shooting of our Teaser Trailers!
Alison Carroll and myself at the VIP after-party
Of course, as promised, we played The Tomb Raider Suite album in its entirety, as recorded, mixed and mastered at Abbey Road Studios, which was greatly received, and even Paul Pritchard (our Abbey Road Mixing Engineer) commented on how great it sounded. My thank you speech took a while to get through!
Saying a few thanks at the reception
Shelley Blond, the first voice of Lara Croft also made a sparkling appearance. She made a short speech about the project and about her involvement, and joined myself, Alison Carroll and Meagan Marie (Senior Community Manager, Crystal Dynamics) for the signing/photo session for the guests later in the evening.
Shelley, Meagan, Alison and myself, preparing for the signing session
Winston too was on good form – he didn’t say very much, but I did catch him dancing at one point! Thank you Tom George for your superlative performance and for all the laughs!
Winston greeting the guests
As were our three cosplayers, Jacqueline Natla, Marco Bartoli and Dr. Willard, performed by Rachel Church, Jack Lincoln and Steve Ferris, respectively. Thanks guys, you did a fantastic job!
Ms Jacqueline Natla
Marco Bartoli & Dr. Willard
The main guests left at midnight, and the remaining VIP guests got to hang out in a more intimate environment with myself and the rest of the production crew until about 02:00am. All in all it was a fantastic evening, and I must thank everyone who came. It was a real pleasure meeting you all.
A big thank you to all our production crew, Square Enix, Crystal Dynamics and all the people at Hatfield House who helped us create this fantastic Tomb Raider Suite celebration.
Also huge thanks to our video cameramen, Henry Williams and Diogo Atadini for adding more amazing footage to our archives in readiness for the documentary. It was a long day gentlemen and you did us proud!
Massive thanks also to our photographer, Mike Riley (www.michaelrileyphotography.com) for all the amazing photographs above, and the hundreds more we have in our library. What a treasure trove!
To David Burns, our producer. Thank you sir!
And finally I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tracie-Anne Swift, our production manager, who was instrumental in ensuring our success with the Kickstarter Campaign amongst a myriad of other things, not to mention arranging the Composer Buffet Reception at Hatfield House and presenting me with a Blue Heritage Plaque, which I am very proud of.
My Blue Heritage Plaque
Thank you Tracie, you’re a star!
And so onto the business side of things, we have some good news, some sad news, and some other news.
THE GOOD
I’m sure you will be glad to hear that we are still on track for an August release for the album. As you are probably aware we have been pushing forward with the surveys and in particular the surveys for all the individual Add-On purchases. I’m happy to say that we have all the data we need now to begin manufacturing of the album box product and the various pieces of merchandise that we offered during the campaign.
Tomb Raider Suite Merchandise
We are still working towards releasing the Digital Download as soon as possible (and hopefully sooner than August) but there are some dependencies which are beyond our control, so again I must ask you to be patient. We are getting closer every day.
The album artwork itself has gone through much iteration, not only on our part, but also liaising with the printers of the Deluxe Tin CD (in China) to make sure that the end result is going to be exactly as we want it, and to the best possible quality.
There have been some legal requirements to clarify in terms of the album credits, and everything has needed approval, which all takes time. That has all been taken care of now so we are beginning to move forward at a faster pace now.
THE SAD
While we have been pushing to organise the San Francisco Composer Buffet Reception for the 14th July, we were determined not to delay the album any further, and as a result, we have decided to postpone that event. Hopefully close to Christmas or failing that, the early part of next year.
Of course we understand that this will be disappointing for those of you who have already bought your ticket and were looking forward to the party. I would like to stress that we are not cancelling the event, just moving the date. We will of course let you know as soon as we have another date firmed up. We appreciate that this may cause problems for some of you who have already booked your travel/accommodation arrangements, so if you do have any issues, please contact me directly through the Kickstarter email system and we’ll see if we can help resolve those issues.
THE OTHER
Although we have had a good response from our surveys, there are still a few of you who have not responded. I will be sending out a reminder email about this. If we don’t know your choices, or your shipping address, we can’t send out your reward merchandise. So do please respond to the surveys if you haven’t already done so.
As you know we have been filming our entire project at the various stages as we go in preparation for the documentary, and this is moving into its next phase now. The footage we have so far is really great and those of you who attended the Composer Buffet Reception saw a rough edit of some of this on our big screen at Hatfield House. We plan to start editing the documentary itself in a couple of month’s time so we can start preparing for a DVD/TV release hopefully next year.
We have also been working on more live shows, we had The Tomb Raider Medley from the album performed at the PAX East computer games convention in Boston, U.S. recently, and we are in several negotiations to push the show out in various countries around the world. We hope to be able to give you some firm dates very soon.

I would like to thank you, our backers, once again for your support and patience. We are nearly there now.
Kind regards
Nathan.

COMPOSER BUFFET RECEPTION – Final Draw
Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear Backers,
As you know we are now in the 2 week run up to the Composer Buffet Reception at Hatfield House. And we still have 7 tickets to give away!
Time is short so we’re going to speed things up a little bit by adopting a similar system to the one we implemented before. The new rules to conclude this draw will therefore be as follows:
RULES:
On Tuesday 17th April @ 09:00 GMT I will post an update called "CBR PRIZE DRAW – comment 'I CAN GO' below". After that we will start collecting names of eligible backers who make the comment “I CAN GO” at the bottom of that update.
An eligible backer is a backer who pledged £45 or more during the Kickstarter campaign.
On Wednesday 18th April @ 09:00 GMT I will make a comment at the bottom of the same update closing entry to this Final Draw. At that point we will stop collecting names.
All eligible backer names we collect will be entered into the final draw. Any comments made outside of these times will not be entered into the draw.
We will then assign a new Prize Draw Number to each name collected. The list of Prize Draw Numbers and associated Backer Numbers will be published in an update prior to the draw itself.
The CBR Final Prize Draw will be held on Thursday 19th October @ 17:00 GMT.
Once again: ONLY backers who have pledged £45 or more AND who leave the comment “I CAN GO” at the bottom of the update called "CBR PRIZE DRAW – comment 'I CAN GO' below" between the above times will be collected.
The winner(s) will be notified by email directly, after the draw, and the results posted on Kickstarter as usual.

Good luck everyone!

Release Date or Not To Date
Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear All,
Since our last Kickstarter Update – we’d like to clarify a few points, so that any feelings of misrepresentation are tackled head on.
The delay has occurred because we are a very small team of volunteers (3 in fact, including myself) with an immense work load on our plates and we all have full time jobs and families. To get to this point, with a project of this scale, is an achievement we are all very proud of.
The fundamental misunderstanding that has occurred is that we actively chose to delay the release of the album for the sole reason of the San Francisco CBR, this is simply not the case and perhaps the wording could have been better phrased in the last update and for that we apologise.
To give you an insight into ‘behind the scenes’, of the delivery of this project, we work in a very ‘linear’ way, meaning we don’t have a large team of people to tackle multiple concurrent streams of the workload, so we systematically work from a large plan of prioritised tasks and tick off the ‘list of things to do’ as we go along.
The Composer Buffet Receptions were always a key part of the Kickstarter delivery. We understand that this event isn’t something of interest to all of you, but for those who did pledge at this tier, we always knew that we needed to provide something special.
The UK CBR has been a MAJOR event to organise and over the next 2 weeks, that will not ease up. But we promise it will be an evening to remember, for all Tomb Raider fans attending. Following on from the UK CBR, we will then be releasing the digital download of the album. However, please note, there will be a 1-2 week delay whilst we consider and arrange some important production and distribution aspects of this, but rest assured the digital download will be made available after the UK CBR.
Following on from this, we will be focusing on the delivery of the physical products. Our intention has always been to try and bundle these up as a single package to keep postage to a minimum. As we move forward, we will be better placed to understand if this is still practical or if we should separate the merchandise from the Jewel/Tin and Vinyl posting.
Please also be mindful that the mastering only completed in February of this year, that’s only 8 weeks ago. The Tomb Raider Suite album has followed a path very few productions have and - thanks to you - the album has the legacy of being recorded, mixed and mastered at the very best studio in the world.
My team and I will continue to push on and we thank you for your support. We hope this update has provided some detail into the work being undertaken by our dedicated team of volunteers.
We will, as always keep you updated on progress.
Many thanks,
Nathan.

RELEASE DATE & MORE
Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear Backers,
As you probably know we are just a few weeks away from our first Composer Buffet Reception at Hatfield House. We have been working flat out with the preparations for this and I’m happy to say things are shaping up nicely.
Apart from the preparations themselves, we have been working hard on our marketing strategy and as a result we decided to film a set of promotion videos for the Hatfield House event itself.
So a few weeks ago we took a small film crew to The Old Palace, and with the talents of Alison Carroll, we filmed the necessary footage to make the films we needed.
The first of these “Coming Home” has already been published on Social Media, to great success, receiving nearly 3K likes, 350 shares and over 65K views on Facebook alone.
The video features footage of The Old Palace, Classic Lara Craft, Winston her trusted butler, and of course features music from The Tomb Raider Suite as recorded at Abbey Road Studios.
You can watch this first Teaser Trailer via the link below:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DnOk18YwdA
Our next video is due to be published in the next 24 hours so do keep your eyes open for that, by following us on either our Tomb Raider Suite Facebook Page or my YouTube channel.
PAX EAST
In other news we were very fortunate last week to have The Tomb Raider Medley (from The Tomb Raider Suite) performed live by the Video Games Orchestra at the PAX East Computer Games Show in Boston, MA, as part of the collaboration between Final Fantasy XV and Tomb Raider.
If you didn’t get to see the performance, you can watch it here:

ALBUM RELEASE DATE
As far as the Album Release date is concerned, I am sorry to tell you that we have decided to delay the release.
This was not an easy decision to come to but I feel it is the right one under the circumstances for the reasons below.
After the recording at Abbey Road Studios in October last year, we managed to get booked back into the studio for mixing at the end of January 2018, and then for Mastering at the end of February.
Since then, the team has been working round the clock on the preparations for the Composer Buffet Reception and we are simply unable to juggle the final stages of the album production so close to the launch party.
We are also aware that by releasing the album on the 1st May as previously planned, it somewhat spoils the Premiere airplay we had planned for the Composer Buffet Reception in San Francisco on 14th July 2018, and so delaying the release until after this makes it more fair for our friends in the United States.
In terms of our production pipeline, we have been informed that there are only 3 Vinyl Pressing Plants left in the world, and the best of these, happens to be not far down the road from where I live, in Prague, Czech Republic.
We have also discovered that there is at least an 8 week lead time for getting albums pressed there. So at best we would be looking at the beginning of July, but again, to honour our friends in the United States and to give us a little breathing room, we think it safe to target our release for the 1st August 2018.
I appreciate this may be a little disappointing but rest assured we are moving forward as quickly as possible.
I thank you all for your understanding and I look forward to meeting some of you at the Reception at Hatfield House on the 28th where we will be playing The Tomb Raider Suite, as recorded, mixed and mastered at Abbey Road Studios for the very first time!
Kindest regards
Nathan.

COMPOSER BUFFET RECEPTION - LONDON

Dear Backers,
Just a quick update to let you know that unfortunately Natalie Cook has regretfully had to cancel her attendance at the London Composer Buffet Reception.
She has asked me to pass on her apologies and is very sorry that she won't get to meet you all at the event.
The great news is that the amazing Alison Carroll will now be joining us at Hatfield House. Alison was the last live Lara Croft model between 2008 and 2010 and we're really excited that she'll be attending once again as Lara Croft for this very special evening.

So CONGRATULATIONS to the lucky five winners!
We will be contacting the winners directly by email to request shipping addresses and to firm up the arrangements for delivery. So you five, standby for the email.

Tomorrow and Thursday I'm set to attend the Final Pickup Mixing Session at Abbey Road, and then on Friday we go to Mastering, and then... The Tomb Raider Suite album will be finished! We have another 2 live streams happening direct from Abbey Road Studios on Thursday and Friday at 19:00 and 14:00 GMT respectively.
Over the next 2 months we will be focusing on mass production of the albums and the other merchandise for your rewards, and also the final preparations for the UK Composer Buffet Reception at the end of April. So still lots to do.
Standard and VIP Tickets to the Reception parties are still available via our website, so there's still a chance to join us in either London or San Francisco for one of the biggest Tomb Raider events this year. I'm looking forward to meeting many of you there.

UPDATE FROM ABBEY ROAD
Posted by Nathan McCree (Creator)
Dear Backers,
We are nearing the end of our first mixing session at Abbey Road Studios, so I wanted to let you know that everything has gone according to plan.
Paul has been working like a Trojan all week and has done us proud!
The live stream last night on Facebook went very well and everyone who tuned in loved the excerpts of the mixes we played. So many great comments – it was rather emotional! We had a total reach of over 30,000 and so far nearly 3000 plays.
If you didn’t manage to tune in and you have a facebook account, you can paste the link below into your browser and that should bring up the recording of the live stream.
https://www.facebook.com/tombraidersuite/videos/531234070582821/
Alternatively you can click on the post that is pinned on our official social media channels.
Thank you once again for making this happen and for joining us on our journey as we head towards the final pickup mixing session and mastering session later this month.

Dear Backers,
I do apologise but it has been brought to my attention that in fact the TOMB RAIDER SUITE SHOTGUN and the TOMB RAIDER SUITE UZZIS rewards will indeed need a survey as there is box product associated with these tiers and we will therefore need your shipping address.
I will thus, prepare those surveys and get them sent out.
So that just leaves the one tier which does not require a survey, which is:
TOMB RAIDER SUITE BACKPACK
(Hopefully you can all excuse me for this oversight - it's the first time I've done this!)
Cheers
Nathan.
Dear Backers,
This is perhaps fault on my part for not explaining things in fine detail - but some of you are wondering why you have not received a survey.
This is because some of the tiers do not need one as there is nothing to choose.
There are 3 reward tiers that do not require a survey. These are as follows:
TOMB RAIDER SUITE BACKPACK
TOMB RAIDER SUITE UZZIS
TOMB RAIDER SUITE SHOTGUN
If you have purchased one of these reward tiers you will not have received a survey today.
To further clarify, Add-On purchases will be dealt with separately in our second phase of surveys in due course.
Kind regards and apologies for any confusion,
Nathan.
Dear Backers,
A lot of you have just been messaging me about your Add-On purchases not being included in the surveys.
This is correct.
Kickstarter's survey system is particularly clunky and it's not possible to included your add-on purchases, so the surveys we have just sent out are for the reward tiers only.
We will be sending out separate surveys individually in due course to all those who purchased Add-On items.
Please be patient we are getting there.
Kind regards
Nathan.
Dear Backers,
I am happy to tell you that we have now posted the surveys for your rewards.
Please double check your spam/junk folders in case we've ended up there as we cannot send the surveys more than once.
Please respond at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Regards
Nathan.

Dear Backers,
On July 12 2017, via Update #30 - I mentioned that as we were later getting booked into Abbey Road than had we had hoped and that it would push back our release date by a couple of months, from November to January. We then had to liaise with Abbey Road again for the Mixing and Mastering slots, as well as the correct engineers to support the process. In Update#48 on 19th December 2017 the update stated that the mixing session would be taking place in January 2018. I didn’t confirm dates at that time as I was liaising with the engineer to agree if a second mixing session would be needed. After reviewing the stems sent from Abbey Road, we have decided to run with a second session also.
Therefore I can confirm the following dates:
MIXING SESSION 1: 29th January 2018 to 3rd February 2018
MIXING SESSION 2: 21st February 2018 to 22nd February 2018
MASTERING SESSION: 23rd February 2018
We now also have the production lines set up for the album and we are really pleased to say the official album release date will be: 1st May 2018
Please do note we have been told there may be a delay to the tin CD’s, due to the production overhead – but we will confirm as soon as we know more.
The process of creating this album has and continues to be a complex process, using the best engineers and studio in the world and as such, we’ve had to slot in with when the facilities and the professionals have been available for the duration required.
With regard to the delivery of the other reward merchandise, we are aiming to coincide with the release of the album in order to be as efficient as possible with our global fulfilment exercise and to be as cost effective on the postage as we can. Again we are sorry for the delay to our deliverables and we are very grateful for your patience.
The next update will be before we head into the mixing sessions and we’ll be bringing you behind the scenes content from those sessions through our social media channels. We really hope you’ve enjoyed looking around the website and more updates will be coming soon. To set the record straight, the website was created wholly outside of the Kickstarter funds by friends who have supported the project from the start and are as keen as you to make the project as successful as possible.
Kindest regards
Nathan.
Dear Backers,
We are very pleased to tell you that our new website is now live.
www.tombraidersuite.com
We have taken great care to give you something we think is really special and captures the spirit of The Tomb Raider Suite project as a whole.
Unique to The Tomb Raider Suite, our landing page features a very special parallax image which features original sounds and other nods to the classic games which are precious to my heart.
The image is hand drawn at a resolution of 17250 x 6350 pixels, or for camera fans a whopping 109.5 megapixels. Those of you with high res monitors will no doubt enjoy a few moments to look around.
The website tells a brief story of the last 20 years and how we came to arrive at where we are today.
Our big reveal are the 2 locations for the Composer Buffet Receptions which we are sure you will love. These are sure to be two of the biggest events in the Tomb Raider calendar of 2018.
Details of the American tour will be posted on our Tomb Raider Live page as the venues are confirmed and we are very excited about this!
Our Abbey Road Recording page details the artists and production staff who were involved with the recording and we will be adding to this as we move forward.
The Prize Draws page is where you will find dates for the remaining prize draws so please do familiarise yourselves so you know when they’re coming up. We are especially fond of the Abbey Road Attendance Prize Draw page which features photos from the sessions, the winners and what they had to say about their special day.
The Memoirs page is where we will be featuring articles, videos and photos sent to us by the fans as the project progresses throughout this year. Currently we have one very special memoir written by David Carroll who was one of the Abbey Road Attendance Prize Draw winners, a very heart-felt and moving account of his time with us during the recording.
And finally we have our e-commerce shop where you will find a selection of some of the merchandise we sold during the Kickstarter campaign, the new retail album, retail album T-shirts, posters and lots of other goodies. You can also purchase a Large, Giant, or Super-sized poster of the Parallax image that is featured on our home page.
Contact details are in the footer of the website along with our new social media links and you can also sign up for our Newsletter if you would like to receive periodicals about the project.
I sincerely hope we have created something you will really enjoy exploring, now, and in the months ahead as we progress.
Kindest regards
Nathan.

Dear Backers,
So we're moving forward now with our surveys. We sent the first one out to test the system on 19th December 2017. This survey was sent to all backers who pledged for the TOMB RAIDER SUITE PASSPORT reward. So far we've had 23 responses out of 47.
As we can only send out each survey once, can I ask those backers to please check your spam folders in case you missed the email. It's very important we get the responses back from you as soon as possible to help us fulfill the rewards in a timely fashion.
Many thanks
Nathan.
Dear Backers,
We are now working on the surveys for your reward choices. We will be working up through the reward tiers over the next few months. The surveys will cover questions specifically about the items detailed in each reward. Any Add-On purchases you may have made will be dealt with separately via direct email.
I am also very happy to let you know that we are now booked back into Abbey Road Studios for the Mixing & Mastering sessions. I have chosen Paul Pritchard as our Mixing Engineer who was the assistant engineer to Sam Okell for the recording. Paul is a whizz-kid on Pro Tools and being very familiar with our project now, is the best choice for this next step of the process.
For Mastering I have chosen Geoff Pesche. Geoff has a list of credits as long as your arm. Infamously at Tape One, Geoff cut the vinyl lacquers for the best selling 12” record of all time – New Order's iconic Blue Monday, as well as the platinum selling Dire Straits album Brothers In Arms. He’s also responsible for cutting the most played radio record of all time, Kylie’s Can’t Get You Out Of My Head.
Geoff has mastered albums and singles for top artists including Gorillaz, Kate Nash, Coldplay, Basement Jaxx, Amy MacDonald, Kylie Minogue and Dizzee Rascal. He’s worked with Pulp, Page & Plant, Mike Oldfield, Kenny Thomas, M People, William Orbit, Aphex Twin, Therapy, The Drums, The Divine Comedy, Lily Allen and Blur among many others.
Out of the Mastering Engineers recommended by Abbey Road, for me Geoff has the necessary hybrid experience to master The Tomb Raider Suite, not only for CD but for that precious Vinyl album too.
I would like to thank you all again for helping to make this happen as we move into the final stages of the production. I will be very busy over the coming weeks reviewing the recording takes we made in October at Abbey Road and preparing notes for the mixing session with Paul in January.
Some exciting news coming early in the New Year, will be the official release date for the album, our launch date for the new website and the locations for the Composer Buffet Receptions...
I would like to wish you all a very happy holiday and a fabulous New Year.
Hic!
Nathan.

Dear Backers,
A quick update on what’s been happening.
The Website is now in its final phase of development and I’m happy to say we are almost ready. We hope to update you on the launch date very soon.
After that we will be focusing on the surveys and collecting all the information we need from you guys about the choices in your reward packages.
We have also been working very hard to confirm the mixing and mastering sessions. My intention is to do both of these at Abbey Road – quality has always been my top priority.
It’s a case of getting the right people in the right place, for the time that’s needed to complete the album in the vein that we started. I am therefore continuing to work with Abbey Road to secure the right engineers and mixing/mastering suites as soon as possible.
I know many of you want to know about the release date for the album, and as I mentioned in Update 30, our original plan for a November release has been pushed back 2 months as we were 2 months later getting booked into Abbey Road than we had planned. We are still hopeful the release will be in the early part of next year and I will continue to post updates as discussions with Abbey Road progress.
We are continuing to move forward and we thank you all for your patience.
Kind regards
Nathan.
Dear Backers,
It’s been one week since we finished the recording session at Abbey Road Studios.
And what can I say? What a fantastic 2 days. Probably the best 2 days of my life!
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, under the steady hand of Robert Ziegler, performed to perfection. Their attention to detail was second to none. The expression, the phrasing and the emotion – it was all there.
The fans who attended were testament to that – the amount of tissues that were consumed – there wasn’t a dry eye in the place!
So I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved:
Robert Ziegler for his extremely sharp ear, communication and impeccable timekeeping;
Adam Langston for his exquisite orchestrations;
Sam Okell for his mastery of the pots and pans and clear thinking;
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Metro Voices for their incredible musicianship;
And to all the people at Abbey Road Studios who made our stay extremely enjoyable and stress free.
Finally I would like to thank all of you for supporting this project. I truly believe we have captured an exceptional performance of The Tomb Raider Suite, something which you can feel very proud of for the rest of your lives.
Our next step is to get the album mixed and mastered before we can move on to mass production.
I will keep you informed as we progress as always.
Kindest regards
Nathan.

(The Man from U.N.C.L.E)》、《霍比特人(The Hobbit)》、《星图(Maps To The Stars)》、《聚焦(Spotlight)》、《哈利波特与死亡圣器(Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows)》《刺杀本·拉登(Zero Dark Thirty)》《地心引力(Gravity)》、《狂怒(Fury)》以及《捕猎(The Hunt)》。
Sam不久前还因其在Ron Howard的纪录片《甲壳虫乐队:一周八天,巡演之年(the Beatles touring years Eight Days A Week)》中的配乐而获得了艾美奖。

(The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra)
(Robert Ziegler)
(Abbey Road Studios, London)
(Adam Langston)
(Nathan McCree)

COST TARGET
The process of producing a full orchestral album approximately 90 minutes in duration is extremely expensive and we cannot achieve this without your help. To hire a 76-piece orchestra and a 20-voice choir with a world-class conductor and studio engineer at one of the top studios in the world, then mix and master we need to raise £160,000. This figure also includes the costs of Kickstarter (credit card fees, Kickstarter fee, VAT and pledge fulfillment).
STRETCH GOALS
If we are fortunate enough to exceed our initial target, we plan to put the additional funding back into the project. There are a number of things we would like to do if this happens:
· 扩大录制过程中和声团部分。
Increase the size of the Choir for the recording at Abbey Road
Increase the size of the Brass Section for the recording at Abbey Road
Increase the size of the Woodwind Section for the recording at Abbey Road
Record and release the synthesizer only version of The Tomb Raider Suite
Remaster and release the original, unchanged game soundtracks for Tomb Raider I, II and III
Film and release a TV / DVD documentary about the making of The Tomb Raider Suite
WHY BE A PART OF OUR PROJECT?
This is our chance, as Tomb Raider fans, to get a professional studio recording of the music of Tomb Raider I, II and III. You will be helping all Tomb Raider fans – original, current, and new – to appreciate the score. Our concert in London proved how exceptional the orchestrated version of the music is and how much the fans enjoyed the evening.
Here is a video presentation of “In The Blood”, a new track which Nathan wrote especially for the concert and which will appear on The Tomb Raider Suite album.
If you make our project a success you will be enabling the most recognised iconic games music to be played by one of the best orchestras in England and recorded at one of the most famous recording studios in the world.
Please help us to continue celebrating 20 years of Lara and the greatest game music ever written! If we can do this, we will finally hear the music as we all have always dreamt it could be. Success could lead not only to Tomb Raider: Live In Concert touring worldwide, but also for entry into the classical repertoire so it can be performed by orchestras across the globe: from the BBC Proms in London to the Boston Pops; the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra to the Berlin Philharmonic. A truly international work celebrating all that we love about Lara Croft, Tomb Raider and Nathan's iconic music...
