The Tomb Raider franchise celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2021 with a variety of events, including the release of throwback development videos and community streams. One of the highlights was Extra Life stream featuring Earl Baylon, the voice actor for Jonah Maiava in the Tomb Raider Survivor trilogy. During the stream, Earl and his friends prepared several dishes from Tomb Raider: The Official Cookbook and Travel Guide, including T-Rex Rib Eye, Lomo Saltado, and Tanghulu.

In Tomb Raider (2013), Jonah Maiava, the character Earl voices, is the Endurance’s first mate and cook. This connection between Jonah and Earl added a fun layer to the stream, as Earl got to showcase his cooking skills in real life.
